HIGH SCORE INJURED
High Score, a maiden three-year-old in P. H. Jones's team, will be out of action for some weeks. He received injuries when he bolted after a fall while' being taken home from the track at Riccarton on Monday morning. His rider, Miss M. Prince, also suffered injuries and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Miss. Prince, who Works for P. H. Jones, was riding High Score and had the two-year-old, Bridie O’Cally, on the lead. Bridie O’Cally must have lashed out and caught her hind leg in a strap of her cover. In an endeavour to free herself she dived across in front of High Score and brought him down. Miss Prince was knocked unconscious and High Score bolted. He was found later in the Harewood area minus two racing plates and a fair amount of skin.
Miss Prince, who was apparently pinned under the horse, received head, leg, and internal injuries. Her condition yesterday was reported as comfortable. .
