PARLIAMENT’S DIARY

When Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon three bills were introduced and given a first reading. They were: the University of Hawke's Bay Trust Bill, the Judicature Amendment Bill, and the Local Legislation Bill. Formal business included the asking of four questions. The House then put the following measures through their committee stages: the Child Welfare Amendment Bill, the Primary Products Marketing Regulations Confirmation Bill, the Agricultural (Emergency Regulations Confirmation) Bill, the Stock Amendment Bill, the Disabled Persons’ Employment Promotion Bill, the Estate and Gift Duties Amendment Bill, the Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill, the Civil Aviation Amendment Bill, the Waitangi Day Bill, and the Antarctica Bill.
