Hillmorten Or Hillmorton?

Sir, —“Hillmorton” was the name of the property owned by the late M' and Mrs John Twigger. On Mrs Twigger’s death in 1891, this considerable property, Including land where the trotting club now is, and about £17,000 cash, went to the Canterbury Hospital Board. It seems fitting that this gift should be perpetuated in naming the suburb “Hillmorton.”—Yours, etc., GREAT-GREAT-NIECE. October 13, 1960.
