Clark Wins For Second Year (New Zealand Press Association) „ „ ASHBURTON. Oct. 14. J. Clark of Greymouth, tonight won the South Island billiards title for the second year in succession when he defeated E. Simons, of Canterbury, by 479 points to 374. Clark, who went through the tournament without a loss, scored breaks of 74. SI, 39; Simons’ best were 76. 67, 37. Clark was a model of consistency, whereas Simons failed to strike the fine form he showed in earlier games. .The semi-finals resulted: —Simons 537. P. Prince (Canterbury) 366; Clark 433, B.
