National Candidates’ Conference
(Aew Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 14. The National Party’s all-candi-date conference was opened in Wellington this afternoon when 34 sitting National Party members and 44 of 46 new candidates, most of whom are having their first experience of the hustings, attended.
The conference, which continued tonight and will end tomorrow afternoon, is mainly concerned with discussing the National Party’s election policy and settling various points of campaign strategy.
