PARLIAMENT’S DIARY

When Parliament resumed yesterday morning, it disposed of 12 bills which were read a third time. Tlje bills were: The Animals Protection BiU, the Stock Remedies Amendment Bill, the Municipal Insurance Bill, the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Amendment BiU, the Poisons Bill, the Emergency Regulations Amendment Bill, the Workers’ Compensation Amendment Bill, the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill, the Cook Islands Amendment BiU, the Fertilisers BiU, the Broadcasting Amendment Bill, and the Public Safety Conservation Amendment Bill.

The House then considered and approved the Supplementary Estimates. An Appropriations Bill was then passed through all stages. The Mental Health Amendment Bill and an amendment to the Rabbit Bill were introduced and read a first time.

The House rose at 5.10 p.m. until 2.30 pun. on Tuesday.
