Ulmer, (Wellington) will wear the yellow jersey 01 tne.tour leader when the held leaves Lumsden tomorrow for the tin al stage of the three-day cycling tour of Southland. in a thrilling finish to the 116rnile leg today. Ulmer finished strongly to win by two lengths from R. J. Peoples and B. Goldsworthy (both of Wellington), with a short gap back to J. Holloway (Blenheim). Ulmer has a Imin lOsec lead over Holloway, and Peoples in the tour aggregate. Holloway is in an unbeatable position in the “king of the mountains*' contest.
