Thrilling Finish Of Second Stage (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, October 7. G. Ulmer, (Wellington) will wear the yellow jersey 01 tne.tour leader when the held leaves Lumsden tomorrow for the tin al stage of the three-day cycling tour of Southland. in a thrilling finish to the 116rnile leg today. Ulmer finished strongly to win by two lengths from R. J. Peoples and B. Goldsworthy (both of Wellington), with a short gap back to J. Holloway (Blenheim). Ulmer has a Imin lOsec lead over Holloway, and Peoples in the tour aggregate. Holloway is in an unbeatable position in the “king of the mountains*' contest.
