SAVED BY POLICE DOG

Patient From Auckland Hospital (New Zealand Press Association) . AUCKLAND, August 1. The Auckland police dog, Duke, tracked a missing Auckland Hospital patient early on Sunday morning and saved him from almost certain death from suffocation. The patient a 43-year-old man, was found by the dog lying in Grafton Gully, near the hospital, with his face, nose and mouth pressed in soft mud. He would probably have been dead if he was discovered minutes later. The patient was already unconscious.
