Light Plane Damaged In Landing

(New Zealand Press Association) MASTERTON, August 1. The pilot escaped unhurt, but the aeroplane was damaged, when a Tiger Moth aircraft, which had been towing gliders at Hood aerodrome, Masterton, yesterday afternoon, made a forced landing on the property of Mr W. A. C. Perry, about five miles south of Masterton, after running out of fuel. The machine was coming in to refuel The pilot, Mr lan Dunce, of Carterton, made a successful landing, but in doing so clipped the top of a tree and damaged the wings of the aircraft, as well as the engine cowling.
