Soviet Pledge To Cuba

Mr Khrushchev told Dr. Fidel Castro yesterday that if there was armed intervention against Cuba “the necessary assistance will be rendered to Cuba." - The Soviet Union would not be the one to play the smallest -part, Mr Khrushchev said. In a message to the Cuban Prime Minister to mark today’s Cuban national holiday, . Mr Khrushchev said the Cuban revolution had created new precedents for the rise of the national liberation movement in LatinAmerican countries.
