Five Chimney Fires
Five calls to chimney fires were received by the Christchurch Fire Brigade within a one hour and a half period last evening. No damage was done in any of the fires.
They were:—At 6.6 p.m., at the home of Wilmer Kebli Eyes, 363 Gloucester street; at 6.22 p.m;, at the home of Stanley Walton, 37 Thackeray street, Sydenham; at 6.27 p.m., at the home of Eliza Jane Edwards, 52 Battersea street; at 7.22 p.m., at the home of Allan William Davis, 31 Clarence road: and at 7.29 p.m., at the home of Donald McNaughton Stuart, 57 Watford street, Papanui.
