Badminton Auckland Defence Of Slazenger Cup
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 18. Auckland has chosen its strongest badminton team to defend the Slazenger Cup, the major North Island trophy, against Wellington at Wellington on July 30. The team is.—Men: J. E. Robson, A. Stephens, K. H. Long, S. A. Barnes. Women: Mrs H. Robson, Mrs V. Gow, Mrs A. Butterworth, Miss P. Brookes. The winner of the match will qualify to play in the final of the national Wisden Cup against the South Island winners, which has yet to be decided.
