GOLD STAR TRIAL
D. M. Hannah Wins 18-Hour Event D. M. Hannah, of Christchurch, driving a Borgward Isabella, has been announced by the Canterbury Car Club as winner of the 18-hour gold star trial held on July 9. The results, as announced by the chairman of the club’s trials committee (Mr B. J. Layburn) last evening, are:— D. M. Hannah (Borgward), 108 points lost, 1; T. D. Craig (M.G.A.), 159. 2; W. E. Cheeseman (Volkswagen), 220, 3; M. J. Ellis (Austin A4O), 477, 4; C. G. Finney (Ford 300), 516, 5; G. Owen (Hillman), 584, 6’, G. Patterson (Volkswagen), 1111, 7; A. Boustridge (Volkswagen), 1113, 8. There were 17 competitors.
