PRICE POLICY CONDEMNED
Butter Sold On N.Z. Market (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. The disapproval with which the dairy industry views the Government’s policy on the local market issue was given expression in a resolution passed unanimously at the Dominion dairy conference in Wellington today. The resolution stated that “this conference urges the Dairy Board to continue its negotiations with the Government on local market issues, and to press in the strongest terms for a fair basis of return to the Dairy Industry Account for butter and cheese sold on the local market, particularly in view of the Government’s policy of tariff protection to secondary industries and the retention of import licence protection.” (Earlier reference page 12)
