Obituary

MISS C. ANDREWS ! The death' has occurred in Hamilton of Miss Cora Andrews, late of Stunner, who before her retirement was for many years on the staff of the Sumner primary school, arid for a time its infant mistress. A keen and observant traveller, and a member of the Canterbury Travel Club, Miss Andrews made several journeys to England, where, during World War 11, she assisted with the evacuation of London’s schoolchildren. Among places she visited were Spain and South Africa and she has given many addresses on her travels in these countries. She was also an enthusiastic member and past president of the Redcliffs-Sumner Garden Club, taking keen interest in its activities. Miss Andrews is survived by her sister, Mrs F. Leary, of Timaru.
