Merivale Mothers’ Union.— Ten new members were admitted to the St. Mary’s Merivale Mothers' Union at an admission service conducted by Archdeacon E. A. Gowing before the monthly meeting recently. The Rev. J. E. B. Keith gave an address entitled “The Symbols of the Church.” Mrs E. A. Gowing presided. “Christian Year.”— The Ven Archdeacon Merlin Davies gave a talk on “The Christian Year" at a recent meeting of members of Young Wives’ Groups and the Mothers’ Union. The church's year was a witness to the wholeness of the Gospel and it was necessary to rediscover the value and meaning of it, he said. “In forgetting the, great festivals, the things of which they speak are also forgotten.”
