N.Z. Industry Should Surpass Overseas

(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 29. Any manufacturer who has a measure of protection by import control should make every endeavour to give better service than his overseas counterpart, the chairman of the Farmers’ Trading Company, Ltd. (Mr L. W. Keals) said today at the annual meeting of shareholders. In many cases New Zealandmade goods were equal to anything produced overseas, he added. . However, on occasions the company had been unable to give speedy delivery to customers because the manufacturer had not fulfilled his promises regarding delivery.
