Profit Up 15 • Per Cent. (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. • Net profit of Dental and Medical Supply Company, Ltd. for the year to March 31, 1960, rose £2616 or 15.3 per cent., to £19,763. From this is deducted £l7l tax underprovided last year. In 1959 there was an addition of £1952 for tax overprovided the previous year. The year’s profit is reached after provision of £3859 (£4984) for depreciation and £20,000 (£19,000) for tatx With £14.406 (£11,532) brought in, there is £33,998 (£30,631) available. Dividend, raised from 12} to 15 per cent, takes £8670 (£7225). General reserve takes £14,000 (£8000), Staff superannuation reserve £lOOO (£1000). Carry forward is £10,328 (£14,406). Gross profit was £115,911 (£113,144) and expenses were £70,955 (£70,658). Paid capital is £58,798 (unchanged) and shareholders' funds total £155,091 (£145,169). Current assets are £152,118 (£166,242) and current liabilities £70,622 (£93,362). Fixed assets are £85,418 (£84,641) and fixed liabilities £11,823 (£12,352). As announced earlier it is proposed to increase capital by £28,899 to £86,697 by making a bonus issue of one 10s share for every £1 share held.
