'This farmer had been unable to spray his pastures with hormone weedkillers until they were established, which meant that the docks also became established and most difficult to control ekeept by employing weedkillers at rates which would be. to say the least, extremely bard on his . clovers. Even at these high rates, good results could not be guaranteed. " Last autumn, however, after seeking LCJL advice, he was able to confidently sow down a paddock which he knew would be. heavily infested with young docks. It had been proved to him that he could control the docks at the seedling stage by spraying his young pasture with XC.L ,! Bexone” or 2.4, D.B. without harming his young grasses and Clovers. ' This paddock is now a sward of clover and ryegrass practically free from docks, and this farmer has good prospects of saving an excellent crop of clean ryegrass seed off the pasture. I>C.l.
