£2200 Claim Against N.Z. Travel Body The South Island Publicity Association will issue a writ for £2200 against the New Zealand Travel and Holidays Association unless this sum is paid in full before noon on July 14. The chairman of the South Island Publicity Association (Mr L Christie). announcing, the intention to take legal proceedings against the Travel and Holidays Association, said that the £2200 had been advanced by his association as its contribution for the current financial year. The money, he said, was paid In advance to suit the Travel and Holidays Association so it could get full subsidy from the Gov* eminent for the 1959-1960 financial year. Of this sum. £l2OO had been paid within a week of the Travel and Holidays Association terminating its association with the South Island body. Mr Christie said. Repudiation of the agreement had put the South Island Publicity Association back to where it was four years ago. The Travel and Holidays Association had aggravated the position by coming to the South Island and starting to canvass before it had returned the £2300 it owed to the South Island Publicity Association. ~
