FREAK ACCIDENTS ON MOTORWAY

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 24.

Two cars were involved in separate accidents at the same time and on the same stretch of road on the northern motorway near Auckland early today. Mr S. H. Jones. 19 Alma street Hehderson, received injuries to the spine and lacerations when his car crashed into a bridge approach at 1 a.m. At the same time another car, travelling in the opposite direction, crashed down a bank. The cars did not collide.

The occupants of the second car were not hurt. Mr Jones was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is satisfactory.
