Column Back To Hurdling
Column will return to hurdling at Ashburton on Saturday after some solid performances in handicap flat races. All going well in the meantime, he will also race as a hurdler at the Wellington winter meeting next month. Column shaped well in ..a run over five hurdles at Washdyke yesterday. He was ridden by B. T. Jones and was accompanied by Brookfields Lad (P. H. C. Stock). Stock, who trains Column, is also preparing the Otago Steeples wffiher, Arctic Sun, for a Trentham campaign.
