MELBOURNE CUP ON DISPLAY
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, June 15. The Melbourne Cup trophy will be displayed in New Zealand and all Australian States in the next few months, it was announced today. The cup, worth £5OO, will he on display along with trophies for several other race events. The trophies will travel by air to Brisbane early In July and then to New Zealand, Perth, South Australia, and Sydney. ** The trophies win he in shop windows of some of the largest stores during the tour. They will travel in a special case under armed guard.
