Sir, —I agree with your leading article. It would seem the Government is getting in everywhere, as far as the children and young people are concerned. The Government was ready to jump at the chance to bring in legislation on day nurseries because of an isolated case of neglect which the parents should have seen to and complained about. We did not have so many day nurseries until the Welfare State.—Yours, etc., E.N. May 30, 1960.
