Blood Transfusions

Sir,—“Financial Frontier’s” theory sounds quite plausible bu{ God says, “Thou shalt not kill.” and this commandment covers suicide. There are many ways of committing suicide, and refusing a blood transfusion, with the object in view of terminating life, is one of them. The true Christian will not be looking for such an escape from facing the realities of life. On the contrary, he will avail himself of every facility possible in order that life might be prolonged. It Is at this point that Jehovah's Witnesses are making such a tragic blunder. They ate twisting one command to mean what it does not say, and in doing so ignore the greater command, “Thou shalt not kill.** The determination to forfeit life rather than have a transfusion comes perilously near to suicide.—Yours, etc., BIBLE-LOVER.
