Aerial Espionage

Sir, —What would be our attitude if Russia established an aeroplane base in Mexico or in Ireland and sent their planes flying over the United States or Britain on espionage? This is exactly what America is doing by establishing bases in Turkey and flying planes over Russia. Don’t let our patriotism or our hatred of Communism run away with our reason; try to look at this problem from the other fellow’s point of view.—Yours, etc., J. G. BARCLAY. May 16, 1960.
