H. C. BURRY FINDS LOCUM TENENS
Offer Of Retired Doctor
The offer of a doctor who retired from practice about two years ago, to act as his locum tenens, has been accepted by Dr. H. C. Burry, one of the five Canterbury players chosen to tour South Africa with the New Zealand Rugby team. Burry, until the offer was made in the week-end, had tried unsuccessfully throughout New Zealand for a locum tenens for the four months he would be with the team in South Africa. The offer was made by an elderly doctor who practised in Canterbury before his retirement. “That’s a great weight lifted off my mind," said Burry on Saturday.
