’J’HIS week a Christchurch wool man glanced over the pages of catalogues for last week’s wool sale in Christchurch and the cor-, .responding sale of the 1957-58 ■ season. His comparison of similar wools sold at the two sales showed that it is the producer of crossbred wools who has made ; the most spectacular gains over the two years. Merino producers are receiving prices little different from two years ago. except for piece wools and lower classing®, and halfbred producers have made only modest advances.
