In a recent challenge match for the Oakes Shield, Christchurch beat the holder, Malvern, by 11 points. The outstanding scorer was D. Mc» Kenzie. Christchurch, with a total of 103. including possibles at 300 and 500 yards. R. Taylor scored the possible at 500 yards. Results:—
