FIRST ABSENCE IN 40 YEARS
War Veteran Misses Annual Reunion

PALMERSTON N„ April 10.
When the fortieth annual reunion of the Wellington Infantry (1914-1918) Regiment was held in Palmerston North on Saturday night, an absentee for the first time was Major J. T. Bosworth, now aged 94. Throughout the years the regiment has been holding its reunions, Major Bosworth, a South African War veteran, has been a special guest. The assembly of more than 300 veterans was told that Major Bosworth was not attending on medical advice. Officers elected were: President, Sir Herbert Hart; vicepresidents. Sir William Perry and Colonel M. Urquhart; committee, Messrs K. W. Eglinton (chairman), G. Allwright, R. Andrew, E. Bee, W. Cooksley, K. A. Goldingham, W. Gilliland, G. Heald, J. Stewart, G. Scott-Smith, Colonel R. D. Hardie; general secretary, Mr O. J. Rodgers.
