Ship Loading At Lyttelton The Nippon Suisan Kaisha Company’s vessel, Tsukishima Maru, now at Lyttelton, is loading 500 tons of mutton for Japan. The Tsukishima Maru, a 1170ton vessel, is specially built to carry fish and whale meat, and in addition to her cargo of mutton, she is carrying 750 tons of tuna which she will off-load at Victoria, British Colombia. The Nippon Suisan Kaisha Line owns a large fleet of whale chasers, tankers and motor-ships which operate in the Antarctic throughout the whaling season.
