BOY BADLY HURT

Converted Car Overturned (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 13. A car converted by a 15-year-old boy at Cambridge skidded for a considerable distance and overturned several times on the Rotorua-Taupo highway at 11 a.m. today. The car was wrecked. The boy. whose name has been withheld by the police, was thrown through die windscreen of the car and was severely injured. He was taken to the Rotorua Public Hospital, where his condition tonight was reported to be serious. The accident occurred about 15 miles north of Wairakei. I ' WOMAN CYCLIST KILLED (New Zeautjia Press Association' WELLINGTON, March 13. An elderly woman died in the Hutt Hospital this morning from head injuries she suffered when she was knocked from her bicycle by a car on the comer of the Esplanade and Bay street, Petone, on Wednesday afternoon. She was: Irene Rita Francis, aged 63, a widow, of Riddlers crescent, Petone.
