Dominion Conference In Christchurch

The annual Dominion conference of Toe H Women’s Associations was opened in Christchurch on Saturday, when delegates attended from all branches in New Zealand.

The New Zealand president of Toe H, Mr Eric Winkle, of Wellington. attended the day’s meetings.

Delegates were welcomed by the Dominion president of the women's associations (Miss Edith Tod), after which the Ceremony of Light was led by Mr Winkle. Discussions on reports and finances were held during the morning session. Remits were considered and the Dominion executive was elected in the afternoon. Dominion headquarters will be transferred from Christchurch to Auckland. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mrs L. May; secretary, Mrs A. Clark; treasurer, Miss H. Frayling; general members’ secretary, Mrs T. Towns. All live in Auckland. On Saturday evening a social was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Lex Robb, where delegates met Christchurch members of the association. A service was attended at the Christchurch Cathedral yesterday morning. Business meetings will be ,resumed this morning.
