FARMER DROWNED

Attempt To Rescue Sheep

(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 13.

A farmer was drowned while rescuing sheep in the Rangihau ford at Coroglen on Friday night. He was:

Joseph Charles Minifie, aged 50, married with six children, of Coroglen.

Mr Minifie was washed downstream when he attempted to rescue two stragglers from his flock. His body was found in a deep water hole on Saturday morning.
