CRICKET Changes In N.Z. Team To Play Australians
Three more Canterbury players have been included in the New Zealand team to play the Australians in the fourth and final international cricket match beginning in Auckland on Friday. They are B. A. Bolton, who replaces the injured G. T. Dowling; J. T. Ward, who has been chosen as wicketkeeper in preference to E. C. Petrie; and A. R. Mac Gibbon, who replaces K. W. Hough.

been disappointing in the unofficial tests this year. Bolton was- in the first test and he had a successful Plunket Shield season. Mac Gibbon, a regular New Zealand player for nearly 10 years, will be appearing against the Australians for the first time this season. He did well in the shield matches. The team chosen shows that the selectors are not yet ready to try such extremely promising young players as B. F. Hastings (Wellington), K. Thomson (Canterbury), and R. W. Morgan (Auckland). If this is a somewhat cautious selection it probably gives New . Zealand its strongest team this season.
