France Gets Most U.S. Aid

(Rec. 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 23. The United States Defence Department released today formerly secret figures showing that France has been the largest recipient by far of United States military aid during the last 10 years. France received 4,337,135,000 dollars for the financial years from 1950 to 1959.. Italy ranked second with aid worth 1.847,407,000 dollars during the same period. Formosa got the biggest share of aid to the Fast East—a total of 1,789,131,000 dollars. South Korea received 1,062,270,000 dollars. The United Kingdom received aid worth 952,453,000 dollars and West Germany received 891,923.000 dollars.
