Sports Day Results
Little River won the cup for most points at the Christchurch _ district committee of Country Girls Clubs sports dav at Kirwee on Saturday. Little River gained 45 points. Ellesmere 274, Darfield 25). Ashburton 183. and Lincoln 164. Other competing clubs came from Sheffield. Rakaia, and Hororata. The chairman of the Christchurch district. Miss B. Cran. welcomed all members. The Little River Club deserved special credit for its performance, since it was a new club, said Miss Cran. presenting the cup to the Little River chairman. Miss V. McGregor. Misses E. Hart and Y. Hart won the finals in the knock-out tennis tournament from last year’s winners. Misses S. Heslop and R. Boyce.
