C.O.R.S.O. AID TO HONG KONG

Building Of Village Begun

lNew .Zcalana Press Association! WELLINGTON, February 15.

Work had started on a “New Zealand village” in Hong Kong the secretary of the Council of Organisations for Relief Services Overseas in New Zealand (Mr Colin Morrison) reported today on his return to Wellington. He said the village would comprise 100 cottages at a cost of £lO,OOO which was allocated for the project last year by C.0.R.5.0. headquarters in Wellington. The site was being cleared, terraced, and roaded, and house construction would start in about a month. Another 300 cottages in the same block would possibly be financed by Australia, in which case the whole settlement would be an “Anzac village,” he said.

Never fear spoiling children by making them too happy. Happiness is the atmosphere in which all good affections grow.—Thomas Bray. 4
