Hokitika Man Sets New Time

Allan Rose, of Hokitika, broke the New Zealand chopping record for a Kin log at the Wainihini Sports Club's meeting on Saturday. Rose's time was 29 4-ssec, compared with the previous record of 31 4-ssec held by John Creighton, of Manila. Both Rose and Creighton will be members of the New Zealand axemen’s team which will compete at the Royal Sydney Show at Easter.
