GUIDED MISSILE LAUNCHER FOR N.Z. WARSHIPS.—A model of the Seacat guided missile system which is to be fitted in the Royal New Zealand Navy’s two new frigates, Otago and Taranaki, soon after their arrival in New Zealand. The Seacat launcher carries four missiles. Designed for anti-aircraft defence, the weapon will replace close-range anti-aircraft guns throughout the Royal Navy. The weapon is still classified, and this model is the first to be publicly displayed.
