Magic Circle To Race On Monday

WELLINGTON, January 19.
Magic Circle will not run in the Wellington Racing Club Handicap at Trentham on Saturday. Magic Circle’s owner, Mr G. H. Grigg, said to-day that his Count Rendered gelding would be reserved for the Summer Handicap on the third day of the meeting next Monday. The Riccarton-trained Count Pierre will be ridden by W. L. Aitken in the Douro Handicap next Saturday. Count Pierre is one of the early favourites after a brilliant winning run in the Camp Handicap on Wellington Cup day. L. McGuire rode Count Pierre m the Camp Handicap, a race for apprentice riders.
