MR A. K. FYSON

(New Zealand Press Association) HAWERA, January 19. The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr A. K. Fyson, secretary of the Egmont Racing Club and a well-known personality in dairying, R.S.A., commercial and local body activities. A Gallipoli veteran and gold star member of the R.S.A., Mr Fyson was born in Gisborne in 1894 and soon after his arrival in Hawera in 1922 he began to practise as a public accountant. He was secretary of a group of dairy companies and was a prime mover in the establishment of the Taranaki Federation of Cooperative Dairy Factories and a pioneer of the veterinary clinic groups in Taranaki. He is survived by his wife and one married son and four married daughters. Two of his daughters are Mrs K. Laing (Oamaru) and Mrs D. Brown (Upper Hutt). The other members of his family, Mrs E. Thorne, Mrs B.' Wood, and Mr W. Fyson, live in England.
