TWO PREMISES ENTERED

Cigarettes And Tools Stolen

Thieves who broke into the premises of the Sansom Motor Company at 281 Tuam street on Monday night carried an unlocked cash register a short distance away before they opened it to find only about a dozen pennies. They apparently did not realise the cash register could be opened by pressing one of the keys. Two hundred cigarettes and £1 worth of chewing gum were also stolen. Entry was gained by removing louvres from a window. A micrometer and a kit set of tools for a boring plant were stolen from the premises of Thom Brothers’ motor engineering works at the corner of Hereford street and Fitzgerald avenue on Monday night. Without the boring plant the tools are of little use. The equipment was worth about £4O and about £1 in cash was stolen also.
