Two Fire Calls Yesterday

At 10.10 a.m. yesterday one unit of the Sydenham Fire Brigade answered a call to Textile Industries Ltd.. 38 Sandyford street. The fire was in a flock - teasing machine. Damage was caused to two bales of flock and rags. / Two units from the Central Fire Station answered a call to 20 Tancred street at 9.15 p.m. yesterday. The fire was in a 16ft launch which was parked by the roadside at that address, the property of Mr Neil Arrow. The fire, which is thought to have been caused by a short circuit igniting petrol fumes, caused slight damage to the interior of the launch.
