FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone remains stationary in the north Tasman Sea. Another anti-cyclone is moving eastwards across the south Tasman. A weak cold front is moving northwards over the North Island. Forecast: Nelson and Marlborough.—Moderate easterly or northerly winds; cloudy at first but becoming fair with mild temperatures. Outlook: fair. Buller and North Westland.—Moderate variable winds; cloudy, with occasional drizzle or light rain this morning, but improving gradually in the afternoon; temperatures mild. Outlook: cloudy. South Westland.—Moderate variable winds; fair weather. Outlook: fair. Canterbury.—Winds becoming moderate north or northeasterlies; generally fair weather with mild to warm temperatures. Outlook: fair to fine. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
