Hill-Billy Singer Nominated (N.Z Press Association—Copyright) NEW ORLEANS, January 11. A hill-billy singer who composed the war-time song hit “You Are My Sunshine” on Sunday night won the Democratic nomination for State Governor—a nomination that virtually assured him of the Governorship in stronglyDemocratic Louisiana. Mr Jimmie Davis, aged 53. will contest the actual election on April 19 against the Republican nominee, Mr Francis Grevernberg.
