ROYALIST’S NEW CAPTAIN
Arrival In Auckland From Sydney
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 10. Captain H. D. Stevenson, R.A.N., the new officer commanding H.M.N.Z.S. Royalist, arrived in Auckland by air from Sydney tonight He was accompanied by his wife, daughter aged 11 and son aged 7.
Captain Stevenson expects that his term will last 18 months. His appointment is part of an exchange scheme with the Royal Australian Navy. Captain C. C. Stevens, at present officer commanding the Royalist, will become officer commanding H.M.A.S. Watson, a large shore station in Sydney.
