RETIRING TEACHERS HONOURED

Retiring teachers were honoured and presented with floral sprays at a Christmas party held recently by the Women Teachers’ Association at the Christchurch Teachers’ College. They included Mesdames K. Hawker and M. Wood, Misses M. A. Woods, I Boyle, E. Witty, M. Hindle, M. Fordyce, K. Hampton, E. Bellwood, B. B. Taylor, and A. M. Hughes. Miss Witty replied on their behalf.

Specially-invited guests representing interested organisations were welcomed by the president (Miss P. D. Hay). A competition was held and songs were sung by Misses P. Arnauld and B. Truscott
