YOUNG CONTINGENT ENTERTAINS
Country Members Welcomed
Country members of the Young Contingent of the Victoria League and their friends, who are visiting the city for Carnival Week, were entertained by the Christchurch Young Contingent at an “at home” at Elizabeth House last evening. The reception rooms, with their wide French windows opening on to the garden, made a cool and lovely setting for a warm evening. / Large bowls of bright spring flowers decorated the rooms and long tables were used to serve a fork dinner. More than 100 persons were present, many of whom had been successful exhibitors at the show Flowers and Wreaths by Wire anywhere.
