I £30,000 Expected Tn Auckland “The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, October 12. The organisers of the recent community chest appeal in Auckland expect it to yield more than £30,000. Already £28.807 is in hand and donations are still being received. In the City Council area the figure for the house-to-house collection has grown to £7OOl, and £4163 has been handed in bv business firms. The total of £11,164 is about 70 per cent, more than was distributed last year. The appeals in the boroughs have brought in £17.643, which is 10 per cent, more than last year. The response in some districts was not as good u last year.
